TBC is the brainchild and vision of Katlyn Palmer. During the summer of 2013, Katlyn interned with the Burmese Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), NEED-Burma.
As a teacher of sustainable agriculture, human rights, politics and English, Katlyn had the privilege of engaging with 29 students of five different ethnic nationalities; she also helped with the construction of the EVF School.
The initial launch is an international sustainable community development endeavor. In early 2014, a six-person team will spend two weeks at NEED's new Eco-Village Farm (EVF) located in Hmawbi Township, Yangon Division, Burma. Together with the support and local knowledge of the NEED-Burma staff, we will hold a solar energy workshop and installation project at the farm and school.

Your prayer and financial support is a crucial for the success of this endeavor. Our project budget is approximately $30,000.00. This includes all travel, the purchase of the solar equipment (which will be installed at the EVF), tools and gear (most of which will be left at the EVF to enable future projects), short-term international health insurance, administrative costs, an emergency fund, and a very small honorarium to cover the work period for the volunteers involved. If you are interested in donating and would like to see our comprehensive budget, please feel free to contact me. We wish to build transparent, amiable and long-term relationships with our donors and supporters.
