FRONTLINE MINISTRIES
A small ministry doing big things.
THE BURMA PROJECT
TBC is the brainchild and vision of Katlyn Palmer. During the summer of 2013, Katlyn interned with the Burmese Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), NEED-Burma.
As a teacher of sustainable agriculture, human rights, politics and English, Katlyn had the privilege of engaging with 29 students of five different ethnic nationalities; she also helped with the construction of the EVF School.
The initial launch is an international sustainable community development endeavor. In early 2014, a six-person team will spend two weeks at NEED's new Eco-Village Farm (EVF) located in Hmawbi Township, Yangon Division, Burma. Together with the support and local knowledge of the NEED-Burma staff, we will hold a solar energy workshop and installation project at the farm and school.
This is ground-breaking "earth roots" entry level outreach friends!

the GIDEON PROJECT |
The purpose of The Gideon Project is to mentor young men and women of quality and character.
Working together side by side we develop friendships and relationships. In that context I can mentor and enhance their world view and work ethic. It’s my goal to see these young folks be leaders and initiators in whatever field or ministry they end up in. “Take an honest objective look at life at society, culture, the arts, government, and the Church. What’s missing? My answer is “we are missing men with a Biblical world view who are able to be leaders and influencers. We need men who will be good husbands and fathers; and endeavor to be proactive leaders in their families, the workplace, government, the arts and the Church.” FrontLine’s Gideon Project focuses on mentoring young men and women in all aspects of life. We work, sweat and get blisters together. We teach about business and what’s involved in running a ministry. |
TBI - TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY
|
6 years ago I was drawn into an entirely new area of need and ministry… “a very best friend of my daughter’s” was involved in a car accident. As a result, she suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury. I witnessed not only the traumatic injury to “survivors” but also the trauma impact upon their family, loved ones and friends. Financial needs, social, mental, relational, emotional and spiritual stresses impact spouses, parents, siblings, and friends.
As a result, FrontLine now sponsors 4 (one each quarter of the year) Respite Retreats for Traumatic Brain Injury survivors and their family and friends. |
Read on and you will realize the enormity of this need… and if I can be of assistance to you in this area, please feel free to contact me. g

BELLWOOD OUTREACH |
Every community has people in need; living quiet lives of desperation. Many of these folks are too embarrassed, shy, scared or nervous to ask for assistance.
Simultaneously, many of us are guilty of what I call “drive by Christianity”. I define that as follows: in a drive by shooting, the crime is a crime of commission. Someone consciously decides to pull the trigger. Drive by Christianity is a crime of omission. We consciously drive by people that we know have needs. We consciously decide to keep going. The Bellwood Outreach Project is geared to reverse that. We look for people with needs. We slow down, pull over, stop by and say hi. We ask how things are going, and “do you need some help?” Since we’ve been doing this for over a decade now, people now contact us. Please read the article and check out the pictures provided to see one of our stories and examples of what can happen when a few folks decide to listen and respond |
